AbstractSelenium is one of the trace elements needed to maintain normal human life activities,its deficiency can cause Keshan disease, Kashin-Beck disease and other diseases. The selenium absorbed by human body mainly comes from the plants,and some microorganisms can form symbionts with the plants,which promote the absorption and enrichment of selenium in the plants.In this paper,the progresses in research of the effects of form and concentration of selenium and inoculating microorganisms on agronomic traits,photosynthetic properties,enzyme activity,nutrients,mineral elements,seleno-amino acids,soil microorganisms,and the molecular mechanism of plant-microbial symbiont response to selenium were summarized,and the focus on the research direction of microbial mediated selenium absorption and transformation in the plants were also prospected,in order to provide references for strengthening the selenium enrichment capacity of the plants and building the plant selenium strengthening technology.
