Abstract: Glucose sensors are the core of blood glucose detection technology and can meet the needs for precise blood glucose monitoring in chronic diseases such as diabetes.According to whether enzymes are involved in the reaction,glucose sensors can be divided into enzyme-based glucose sensors and non-enzyme glucose sensors.Based onthe detection principles ofthese two types of electrochemical glucose sensors,highlights the major research advancements in recent years regarding theapplication of metal materials,metal compounds,metalorganic frameworks,and carbon materials in enzyme-free glucose sensors. Among them, metallic nanomaterials mainly focus on gold-based nanoparticles and platinum-based nanoparticles while metal compound materials primarily cover ZnO 0 Co3O4 ,and Ni-Co bimetallic phosphides;metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) mainly discuss single-metal MOFs,bimetalic MOFs,and composite materials of MOFs and carbon materials primarily discuss carbon nanotubes,graphene,and carbon dots.Finally,provide an outlook on the future development directions of glucose sensors.
