Abstract:Aerogel,as astructurallycontrollablenanoporous materialcharacterized bylow density,high porosity, high specific surface area,and low thermal conductivity,demonstrates promising application potential in the development of thermal insulation textiles.With polyester fabric serving as the base cloth and polyurethane as the coating agent,the influence of silica aerogel coatings on fabric thermal insulation performance was systematically investigated. The results revealed that under conditions of 3% silica aerogel dosage, 0.25mm coating thickness,and 100∘C drying temperature,a temperature difference of 16.5∘C was achieved between both sides of the coated fabric.Furthermore,when aerogel wascompounded with nano-titanium dioxide,hollow glass microspheres,or antimony tin oxide materials respectively and applied to the fabric through composite finishing processes,the thermalinsulation performance ofthe fabric was enhanced compared to the standalone silica aerogel treatment.Among these combinations, the composite effect of aerogel with 1.5% mass fraction hollow glass microspheres proved to be optimal.
