Exploring Pathways to Enhance the Discourse Power of Ideological and Political Education in Universities in the New Media Era

Abstract:The new media era，shaped by the internet，has created a novel information environment that notonly alters traditional modes of information dissemination but also reshapes the structure of social discourse relations. AS sources of online discourse become increasingly diverse，the influence of online discourse power continues to expand.In this context，it is imperative to enhance the transformationand development of the discourse power of ideological and political education in collegesand universities.To empower this discourse through new media, collges anduniversities must first re-examine itsnew connotations and features endowed by these platforms. When constructing cyberspace for shared use by both faculty and students，universities should take advantage of thenew media tools to effectively addressthe shortcomings of the traditional approaches to ideological and political education.This approach facilitates the constructionof a new discourse system in the ideological and political education that aligns with the demands of the new era，thus securing its dominant role and guiding function.
