Abstract:Paeoniae Radix Alba,Astragali Radix and Taraxaci Herba were tested for banned pesticide residues using gas chromatography - mass spectrometry (GC-MS).The acute and chronic dietary intake risks of the pesticide residues werecalculated using the point assessment method, and risk scores were derived based on the UK Veterinary Residues Commitee(VRC)matrix ranking.Ten banned pesticides were detected in the three types of herbal slices. The highest detection rates— 58.33% ——were observed for hexachlorocyclohexane, dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane(DDT),and aldicarb. The highest exceedance rates—25. 00% ——were reported for hexachlorocyclohexane,DDT,and phorate. The chronic and acute intake risks of these 10O banned pesticides were all less than 2.0% ,indicating that the dietary exposure risk is low. Among the detected compounds, aldicarb posed the highest residual risk acrossall three herbs, while terbufos exhibitedarelatively higherresidual risk inPaeoniae Radix Albaand Astragali Radix. Overall,Astragali Radix showed slightly higher levels of pesticide risk compared to the other two herbs.Although certain banned pesticides were detected, the overallcontamination levels were low and posed no significant health risk under current exposure levels.
