Design and Implementation of Spatiotemporal Synchronization Technology Between LiDAR and Camera

【Abstract】Toimprove the fusion accuracyof multi-modal data in the field of autonomous driving this paper proposesaspatiotemporal synchronization technology techinal schemeforLight DetectionandRanging (LiDAR)and camera.Byadoptamethodofestimatingandadjusting theofset,itcalulates thetimeof thetriggerforthecamera exposure,andadjuststheofsettimeof the trigger for thecamera exposure therebycontrolling LiDARandcamera to scan andthesame targetatthesame time.Theresultsshowthattheproposed scheme significantlyimproves thefusionaccuraly of poirt cloud data and images,verifying the feasibility and effectiveness of the technical scheme.
