AbstractThe understanding of Bi disease in traditional Chinese medicine（TCM）has a long history.

Throughout history，medical experts have offered varying interpretations of the etiology and pathogenesis of Bi disease based on the characteristics of the environmental conditions of their respective eras， which has led to the gradual improvement of the treatment of Bi disease in TCM.By systematically analyzing the impacts of climate and social environmentsacrossdifferent historicalperiodsonthe evolution of thepathogenesis ofBi disease，this article delves into the roles of factors suchas

climate change，seasonal alternation，temperature，humidity，sunshine，diet，and emotional stress in the occurrence and development of Bi disease.It elucidates the development context of the theoryof Bi disease， emphasizes thecharacteristics of syndrome diferentiationand treatmentof Bidiseaseunder different climate andsocial environments，and ofers atheoretical foundation for the prevention and treatmentof Bi disease in the contemporary environment.
