Design of high-voltage DC power supply for photomultiplier tubes for toxicity meter

Abstract：Inorder tomet thedemandforstablehigh-voltagepowersupplyof photomultiplier（PMT）inphotoelectric toxicitytestinginstruments，adedicatedhigh-voltagedirectcurent （DC）powersuplyisesigned.AWienbridgeoscilatoris usedtogenerateasiusoidalsignal，whichiscomparedwithareferencelevelbyacomparatortoforapulse-widthmodulation （PWM）signal.Ametal-oxide-semiconductorfield-effcttransistor（MOSFET）isusedtodriveansolationtransforerandthe voltagebootingisrealizedbycombiningwithdiodevoltagedoublerrectifier.Anoperationalamplifieranddualotocouplersare usedtorealizelinearsamplingandisolatedoutput，andthereferencelevelofthecomparatorisadjustedtostabilizethevoltage. Forovervoltageprotectionatransientvoltagesuppressor（S）dodeisdoptedForovercurrentprotecion，asilonotrolle rectifier（SCR）istriggredbycurrentsamplingtocutoffthecurrentoftheprimarywinding.Thetestingresultsshowthatthe adjustableoutputofthedesignedpowersupplyisfrom80oVto120OV，therippleislessthanO.2%，thestaticpower consumptionisless thanO.5W，andtheeficiencyisgreaterthan7O%，whichcanensurethestableoperationof the photomultiplier tube and the reliable operation of the photoelectric toxicity tester.
