Contamination Characteristics of Petroleum Hydrocarbons ( (C6-C9) in Soil Columns from A Printing Enterprise Retired Site

Abstract:Petroleumhydrocarboncontamination(PHC)representsoneofteenvironmentallycriticalpolltionconcersdomesticaly and internationally.Risk assessment was performed through analysis of C6-C9 PHC contamination characteristics at a printing enterprise retired site,utilizing the single factor indexmethod (Pi) ,nemerow comprehensive index method(Ni)and geo-accumulation index meth(204 od(Igeo) .The results show that Soil C6-C9 PHC concentrations ranged from 0.02 to 15000mg/kg ,exceeding the detection threshold stipulated by Beijing's local standards.The highest contamination concentration( 15000mg/kg )occurred in deepsoil layers.With increasingsoileptctisiallsddbtleasdatigadatird substratum.Maximum index values reached Pi=65.22 , Ni=46.35 ,and Igeo=5.442 ,demonstrating substantial soil contamination by C6 (204 (20 -C9 PHCs.
