Abstract： Xi Jinping Thought on Culture represents a contemporary interpretation of Marxist cultural theories rooted in Chinese context. From the perspective of upholding the fundamental principles：at the theoretical core level， it upholds the unity of culture as "educating people" and "being shaped by people"， the "spiritual productive forces"，and dialectical materialism；at the theoretical viewpoint level，it upholds the "class nature"，" national nature" and " world nature" of culture；at the methodological level，it upholdsthe "First Integration"，the"cultural criticism tol" and the "view on cultural heritage".From the perspective of pursuing innovation：at the core level， it has creatively put forward the "cultural mission of education in the new era"，"strengthening cultural confidence and promoting cultural prosperity" and the "Six Musts"；at the viewpoint level，it has creatively put forward the "adherence to the Party's leadership over culture"，" consolidating the subjectivity of Chinese culture"，and the " common values of all mankind"；at the methodological level，it has creatively put forward the development path of the "Two Integrations"，the publicity path of the "all-media communication system"，and the practical path of "cultural heritage protection in the new era".Xi Jinping Thought on Culture's adherence to principles and innovation of Marxist cultural theories not only preserve the authenticity of Marxist cultural theories but also provide a practical guide for cultural development in the new era.
