Phosphorus and arsenic adsorption characteristics and migration features in soils from diferent sites

Abstract:ToivestgatetheadsorptioncharacteristicsofphosphorusP)andarsenicAs)andtheirmigrationehaviorsindierentsie soils,batcheuiliumadsoptotstsereducted,ompementedbaingelectrorosprgdispsiestoy (SEM-EDS),X-raydifraction(XRD),andparticlesizeanalysistocharacterizethesoilsthoroughly.Theresultsidicatedthatthe adsorptionproessofdAsinslts(ddysoilaonsoilnddlflowdasecdiic modelandtheFrundchoel,ugetigtatultiyericaldsorptiotookplaceoteterogeeoussurfacsoftesilse adsorptioncapacityofsoilfrPandAs(V)isifuenedbypHvalue,onicstrengthandiontype.Astheinitialpvalueicreassand ionicstrngthdecreass,theadsoptioncapacityfthesoildiminiss.BasedonSEDSndRDanalysis,tedierensinface morphologyandelementcompositionofthethreesoilswererevealed.Thesurfceofcinnamosoilisoughandrichinionandaluum oxides.ThesemineralssignificantlyenhancetheiradsorptioncapacityforPandAs(V)throughligandexchangeandsurface complexation.hesufaceofrdsoilismoothandhasaighuartzcontentesultingintsweakeradsorptiocapacity.Toughaspot experiment,itwasfoundthatthemigrationbehaviorofPandAs(V)inthetreesoiltpesincreasedwithrisingpHvalue.Amongthm,P andAs(V)havethestrongestmigrationabilityinredsoil.Thisisbecausetheoarseparticlesandighporeconecivityofedsoil

promotethe migrationofPandAs(V),whilethefinepartclesandhighadsorptioncapacityofinamonsoil inhibitthemigrationof polutants.AditionalytemigratioabilityofAs(V)wassignificantlygeaterthanthatofPudervaryingpHcondiosoreover increasedionicstrengthexhibitedaninibitoryefectotemigrationcapacitiesofothPandAs(V)acrossdiferentsoiltype.is studyevealsthediferensintedsorptoandmgrationbehaviorofPandAs(V)indierentsoils,rovidesimporantsietificbasis for a deeper understanding of the environmental behavior of phosphorus and arsenic in soils.
