Research on the Development and Application of Shear Edge Rolling Strengthening Process for 7Oo MPa Grade Beam Plates

Abstract:Inresponsetotheproblemof insufficientfatigue strengthoftheshearedgeofthe7OoMPalevel frame longitudinal beam,optical microscopyscanning electron microscopyandfatiguetesting machineareusedtoevaluate the properties ofthe shear edge under existing process conditions inthis paper.Theresearch results indicate thatthe burrson the shear edge of the7Oo MPa level frame longitudinal beam areefectively removedbyrolling deburring process.However,duetothe foldingcausedbyburrlodging,thefatigue strength oftheshear edge isonly 206 MPa, and thefatiguefailure originatesfromthefolding rootattherolingedgeof thetearbandside.Toimprove thefatigue strength of the shear edge in further,the parameters of the shear edge rolling process are analyzedand optimized combinedwithCAEanalysis.Theresultsshowthat inorder toformalargeresidual compresivestress onthe shear edge,the optimal angle between the roller working surface and the hot-rolled plate surface is 30∘~45∘ , with a rolling depth of O.5~1.Omm.Thechamfered surface formed byroling theupperand loweredges of the shear edge is smooth andflat byusing optimized rolling process.Thehot-rolld surfaceof theoriginal plate hasnoobvious protrusions,and thereisnooutwardprotrusioninthemiddleof thecross-sectionalprofileof theshearedge.Finally,thefatigue strength of the shear edge reaches 263~270MPa :
