Abstract:The differences in humidity resistance between synthetic fiber filter materials and traditional wood pulp fiberfiltermaterialsaresystematically evaluated through staticanddynamic moistureabsorption tests,and the intrinsic mechanismunderlying thevariation inintakeresistanceof filtermaterialsunder high-humidityconditionsis investigated.Theresultsshow thatsynthetic fiber filtermaterialsaresignificantlysuperior to traditional wood pulp fiberfiltermaterialsintermsofdustholdingcapacity,initialfiltrationaccuracyandful-lifefiltrationperformance, whileexhibiting lower intakeresistanceandmorestablestructural characteristics.In bench testsunderhumid environments,synthetic fiber filterelementsdemonstrateexcelenthumidityresistancewithoutobviousstructural deformationor intakeresistancerise.Furtherdrum bench testresultsindicatethatsyntheticfiberfilter elementscan reduce the intake resistance by approximately 20% under high-humidity conditions,improving fuel economy by 1% . In addition,the 60,000km on-vehicle test verified that synthetic fiber filter elements achieve a remarkable fuel-saving effect,which confirms their performance advantages in practical applications.
