Study on the Calculation of Composite Roughness in Ice-Covered Rivers

Abstract：Aquatitativemethodasproposdteteinetempositeoughssofudercfdresingthehdrauliciee betweenfrozenriversandopen-channelconditions incoldregions.Basedontheboundaryconditionsofafrozenriver，ananalyticalfoula forthecompositeougnssdrivedanditssouonproedureaspresetedTemethdasvalidatedagaist4lsetsoflaboatoyand fielddatandompaedwiththeclasicalforulasofSbanv，LarsenandPavlovskiResultssowthat：a）Theproposedaproachields the closest agreement with observations，with a mean relative error of 3.94% ;b）The error of the Larsen formula increases markedly when the width-to-depthratioissall；c）Whenfieldparametersrescarceandrapidestmatesarereqired，teSabanvfoulacanbepreferen tillyadoptedbeauseof isomparivlysalldeviatio.Thesearchsultsanprovideancallationmetdforhrauliccallation and engineering design of ice-covered rivers.
