Numerical Study of Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop Characteristics of an Evaporator-Gas-Cooler Cooling Dual-Purpose CO2 Microchannel Heat Exchanger at the Passenger Compartment Side
Wei Jiaqi,Wu Weidong,Huang Yichen,Chen Lang,Feng Jie (Schoolof EnergyandPower Engineering,Universityof ShanghaiforScience and Technology,Shanghai 200093) 【Abstract]This study developedand validated aone-dimensional simulation modelonthe Dymola platform to analyze theperformanceofadual-mode evaporative-gas-cooled microchannel heat exchanger under various operatingconditions.The efectsofvariousrefrigerantandairinletparametersontheheattransferandpressuredropcharacteristicsofthemicrochannel heat exchangerin HeatPump(HP)mode are analyzed.Thesimulationresults show thatin HPmode,amoderate increase in refrigerant inlet presure and heat exchangerinletairflowvolumecanboth enhancethe heat exchange amount while reducing thepressure dropontherefrigerant side.ForeachO.5MPa increaseinrefrigerantinlet pressure,theheat exchange amount increasesby2.6%,averaging a 9.5% reduction in the pressure drop on the refrigerant side.Increasing the air inlet volume on theairsideand decreasing theair inlettemperature bothreducethe pressredropwhileincreasing theheat transfer,but simultaneously decreasing the outlet air temperature.
