Research on laser welding technology and applications of copper materials in the electronic components manufacturing field

Abstract: In the field of electronic components,copper and copper aloy materials are widely used due to their conductivity and thermal conductivity. During the assembly process of electronic components,laser welding technology is increasingly adopted to improve manufacturingquality and eficiency.However,due to their high thermal conductivity and reflectivity,copper and copper aloys exhibit low absorption rates, unstable molten pools,and defects such as spatter and porosity during laser welding. This paper analyzes the challenges and defect formation mechanisms in copper laser welding and compares the process characteristics and application effects of various laser welding methods (including process modulation,infrared single-mode laser wobbling welding,and circular laser beam welding technologies).The results indicate that process modulation,beam morphology optimization,and beam motion can significantly enhance the quality and stability of copper laser welding,providing technical references for high-quality welding of highly reflective materials.
