Application of the Standard Deviational Ellpse Model in the Analysis of Spatiotemporal Distribution Characteristics of Urban Wetland Landscapes in Arid-Semiarid Transitional Zones

Abstract:Toquantitativelyrevealtheevolutionpatesofwetlandsinindustrialcitiesinaridandsemi-aridregions,thisstudy constructed a Standard Deviational Eipse(SDE)modelusing ArcGIS10.8toanalyze thestructuralcomposition,spatiotemporal distributioncharacteristics,dynamicchangerules,anddrivingforcesofwetlandlandscapesinthestudyareafrom2OoOto2020. Theresultsshowthatthewetlandtypestructureisrelativelysimple,dominatedbyfloodplainsandmarshes,supplementedbyrivers andcanals,lakes,andreservoirsandponds.Thetotalwetlandareaincreasedsteadilywhiletheinteranualchangesinthearea ofdiferentwetlandtypesvaried.Theareasofriversandcanals,reservoirsandponds,andmarshesfirstincreasedandthen decreased,whereastheopposite trend wasobservedforlakesandfloodplains.Theformer group(riversandcanals,reservoirsand ponds,marshes)was more significantlyafectedbyhumanactivities,whilethelatergroup(lakes,flooplains)was morestrongly influencedbyclimatefactors.Wetlandsexhibitedascatereddistrbutionatthepatchscaleandadistinctnorth-southlinear extensionpatternitermsofspatialdistribution,withlitleinteranualvariationinthisspatialpatern.Thewetlandcntroid showedanobvioussouthwardaggregationtrend.Significantdiferencesexistedinthedistributiondirection,centroidposition, distributionscope,and extension direction among diferent wetland types,presenting distinct spatial heterogeneity.
