Study on Flame Retardant Properties of Modified Piperazine Pyrophosphate and Polypropylene

Abstract:Piperazinepropospate(PAP)goestroughsurfacemodificationviaailanecouplngagentwithdeepeutecticsolventDES)as thereactionmedum.ModifiedandumodifiedPPAPsarecomprehensivelytestedandanalyzedthroughtermosgravimetricanalysis(TGA) andolubilitystsResultsotattearectfeodiedPAPisgfcantlymprodiheesilbone ingfrom 18.1% to 34.8% .Meanwhile,the solubility decreases from 1.22g/100mL to 0.83g/100mL ,indicating that the modified PPAP exhibitsacertaindegreeofydrophobicityRespectively,themodifiedndumodifiedPPAPsarefurthercompoundedithmelaminepoos phate(DMPY)and zinc oxide ( ΔZnO) ,and the thermal stability and flame resistance of the flame-retardant PP composites are analyzed via the limitingoxygenindex(LO)test,UL94vertialburingtest,thermosgravimetricaalysis(TG-DG),andechanicalpropertytst,etc The results indicate that the addition of modified PPAP increases the tensile strength of PP by 15.7% ,the notch impact strength by 72.9% , and theLOI from 32.7 to 34.5,and significantly enhances the thermal stability.
