Abstract: In response to the problem that the proportion of power electronic devices in the new power system is increasing, leadingtointensifiednonlinearresponsesandasignificantincreaseinharmoniccomponentsofsingle-phasegrounding fault curents,and traditional arcsuppression methods are dificult toefectively suppress thearc,this paper proposed anarc suppression methodbasedon fractional order modelpredictivecontrol(FOMPC).Firstly,thetraditionalinductors in the double-linked H-bridgewerereplacedwithfractional-orderinductorsofdiferentorders.Secondly,thecorrespondingorder modelpredictivecontrol method was adopted to compensate for thefault residualcurrnt based onthe principleof minimizing thecurent tracking eror,therebyachieving effectivearcsuppression.Finally,the performanceof themethod wasverified through hardware-in-the-loop experiments.Theresults show that using the appropriate orderFOMPCforarc suppreion has superior performance inresponse speedandarc suppressionefect.The integrationoffractionalcalculus theory withactivearc suppressioninvertersanditscontrolcanimprove theresponse speedandreduce thefultcurent,providingareferenceforfault suppression in power electronicized power grids.
