Abstract：Duringbuildingconstruction，foundationpitexcavationisacrucialandcomplextaskthatinvolvestheexcavation ofundergroundspacestosupportthefoundationoffuturebuildingsortunels.However，ifthegroundwatertableiselatively shallw，thisshalowgroundwatermayhaveasignificantnegativeimpactonfoundationpitexcavation.Whenthewaterlevelis toolow，thesoilwaterontentinthefoundationpitwillincrease，whichwillnotonlyincreasethedificultyoffoundationpit excavation，butmayalsoleadtoinstabilityoftheundergroundstructure.Therefore，inordertoensureconstructionsafetyand projectquaity，aseriesofefectivemeasuresmustbetaken，suchasusing pumping equipment，controlingdrainage，and artficial precipitationwhennecesary，toreducethegroundwaterlevelinthefoundationpitandkeepthefoundationpitdry.
