Abstract:Duringbuildingconstruction,foundationpitexcavationisacrucialandcomplextaskthatinvolvestheexcavation ofundergroundspacestosupportthefoundationoffuturebuildingsortunels.However,ifthegroundwatertableiselatively shallw,thisshalowgroundwatermayhaveasignificantnegativeimpactonfoundationpitexcavation.Whenthewaterlevelis toolow,thesoilwaterontentinthefoundationpitwillincrease,whichwillnotonlyincreasethedificultyoffoundationpit excavation,butmayalsoleadtoinstabilityoftheundergroundstructure.Therefore,inordertoensureconstructionsafetyand projectquaity,aseriesofefectivemeasuresmustbetaken,suchasusing pumping equipment,controlingdrainage,and artficial precipitationwhennecesary,toreducethegroundwaterlevelinthefoundationpitandkeepthefoundationpitdry.
