Abstract:The rational design of the resonant tank iscrucial for the stable operation of the CLLLCconverter. Currently, the two mainstream design methods are the time-domain modeling and the fundamental harmonic approximation (FHA) method. The time-domain method enables accurate design but is complex and timeconsuming, while the FHA method is simpler but introduces design errors.To address these issues, this paper proposes an improved parameter design method for wide-gain CLLLC converters based on the FHA model. Based on theasymmetric design method,a constrained design framework is constructed for multiple effective operating regions. This framework integrates key performance indicators such as transmission power, voltage gain, current stressand the ratio of primary to secondary inductance into the unified design system. Subsequently,the constraint boundaries of each parameter are derived and established by quantitatively analyzing the sensitivity of parameters such as resonant inductance to various performance indicators.The proposed method preserves the simplicity of the FHA method to enhance design eficiency and simultaneously improve the accuracy of parameter design. In the case study, a 1.5kW bidirectional CLLLC DC-DC converter systemis constructed. And the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by the physical experiments.
