Dissemination of Chinese Women's National Volleyball Team Spirit Through ShortVideosfromthePerspectiveofNarrativeAffordances

Abstract：Drawing on narativeafordance theory，this studyanalyzes146 story-based short video cases with favorable dissemination outcomes related to the Chinese women's vollyball team spirit onthe platformsof Douyin and Kuaishou. Fromthethreeaspectsofproductionafordances，socialcontactafordancesanddisseminationafordances，theresearch investigates narrativestrategies for promoting the team spirit on short video platforms.Thefindingsreveal that the disseminationof the spiritofChinese women'snationalvolleyballteam is interactivelyinfluenced bythese thr aspects， which can besummarized intothree typesof influence pathwaysof interactive narative，valuemetaphor，andreal-time recording.Acordingly，itisproposed thatthedisseminationofshortvideos onthe spiritof Chinesenational women's volleyballteamcan provide inspirations of writing the value and connotation of the spirit of Chinese national women's volleyball teambased on the diachronic memory to formcommon national sentiments;ofemphasizing professonalismand originalstoryteling toreproduce thecompetitionscenesandenhancenationalawareness;andofcarryingoutreal-time narrative around the theme of community interaction to promote the memory diffusion of the spirit.
