Shaking off poverty has been an ideal for which numerous Chinese people have made unremitting efforts for thousands of years. As a major coastal province in East China， Shandong has composed a song of endeavor against poverty. The poverty alleviation workshop initiative has been spread from Shandong to the whole country； the practice of “separation of four powers”provides innovative thinking for poverty alleviation asset management； east-west poverty alleviation cooperation has composed a new chapter...The exploration， wisdom and plans of Shandong have formed a powerful force in the battle against poverty.

By the end of 2018， Shandong reduced the number of impoverished people below the provincial standard by 2.516 million， and 8，654 key villages emerged from poverty alleviation. That year， Shandong basically fulfilled the task of poverty alleviation.
