Abstract：This paper systematically introduces the main contents of the Standard for the Mainte？ nance of the Evidence Validity of Electronic Archives（DA/T 97—2023）， explains its background， signifi？ cance and main characteristics， and makes a prelimi？ nary discussion on how to correctly understand the meaning of the terms "should"， "appropriate" and"may" in the standard document and the relevant im？ provements.
