Effect of Tectonic Fracture System on Underground Hot Water Resourcesin Geothermal Field

Abstract:Taking theChenxikou geothermal fieldinDongpingtown,AnhuacountyHunanprovinceas theresearcharea, aregression model was constructed toquantifythe corelation between tectonic fracture parameters and underground hot waterresource characteristics bycomprehensively using multi-source data such as geological survey,geophysical exploration,reholemeasurement,logingnalysis,drologicalexperiments,ndsotopetesting.Thesultsidcateat the tectonic fracturesystemplaysadominantrole intheformationofundergroundhotwater,depfaultsprovidechannels forthermalenergyanddeephydraulicpower,whileshallowfaultsundertakethefunctionofsupplyingandguiding water,the intersectionareaof thethreecontrolstheenrichmentofhotwater;thefracturedensityissignificantlypositivelycoelated withthethicknessofthethermalreservoir,ndthegeothermaleatingateinthestructuralintersectionzoneismuchigher than that in a single fault section.
